Privacy policy

LeapBudget is built to be private by default. This is a full account of what that means, current as of August 8, 2026.

What LeapBudget collects

Nothing beyond what you type in. Categories, transactions, and budget amounts are stored locally on your device in a database that never leaves it automatically. There is no account, no sign in, and no personal information requested at any point.

Bank and financial accounts

LeapBudget never asks for banking credentials and never connects to a bank or financial institution. Every transaction is entered by hand.

Sharing with other companies

LeapBudget includes no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no tracking tools from other companies. Nothing about how you use the app is measured or sent anywhere.

When data leaves your device

The only way data leaves your device is a CSV export you start yourself, from the Budgets or History tab. That export goes through the standard share sheet on your phone, and you choose the destination, Files, AirDrop, Mail, or anywhere else. LeapBudget never sends that file anywhere on its own.

Deleting your data

There is no account and no copy of your data anywhere but your device, so deleting the app deletes everything permanently. There is nothing further to request, because nothing further exists.

Children

LeapBudget is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, since it does not collect information at all.

Any future change to this policy will be posted here with an updated date.
